Magnetic Float Fuel Level Sensors

A fuel level float rests on the liquid surface and moves vertically with the fuel level. Attached to a pivot arm or guide tube, its position is translated into a readable signal — either mechanical, magnetic, or electrical. Stainless steel floats with integrated magnets enhance accuracy by actuating external sensors without penetrating the tank wall.

Our magnetic float sensors are manufactured from 304 stainless steel, the most widely used grade, and 316 stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance in harsh chemical or marine environments. Both grades are pressure-tested and available in matte, brushed, or fully polished mirror finishes to suit your application requirements.

Yes. Any thread specification can be tapped into our float balls, including 1/4-20, 3/8-16, 1/4 NPT, 3/8 NPT, 1/2 NPT, 5/8-11 UNC, and 3/4 NPT. Through tube options for rods from 3/8" to 3/4" diameter are also available. Contact us with your exact requirements for a custom quote.

Round float balls are available in diameters from 1-1/2" up to 14". Oblong floats range from 2 x 6" up to 9 x 14", with common fittings including 1/4-20 and 3/4" NPT threads. Custom sizes beyond standard inventory can be added and manufactured to your exact dimensional specifications upon request.
