Float switches are typically connected via the threaded fitting on the float ball to a rod, tube, or valve assembly within your tank or chamber. Custom thread options such as 1/4 NPT, 3/8 NPT, and 3/4 NPT allow direct integration into most standard systems. Through-tube configurations are also available for rod-guided installations.

Whether a float switch should be normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) depends on your application. For pump activation on rising liquid levels, a normally open configuration is common.
