Float Ball Valves

A standard ball valve uses a rotating ball with a bore to manually or automatically control flow direction, while a ball float valve uses a buoyant float ball that rises and falls with liquid level to automatically open or close the valve. Float valves are self-actuating and don't require external control signals.

A float valve works by using a buoyant float ball connected to a lever or rod mechanism inside a tank or chamber. As liquid rises, the float rises with it, mechanically closing the valve to stop flow; as liquid level drops, the float lowers and reopens the valve, maintaining consistent liquid levels without electronic controls.

Round float balls range from 1-1/2" to 14" in diameter, while oblong floats are available in sizes such as 2 x 6", 3 x 5", 7 x 12", and 9 x 14", among others. Custom sizes outside these standard ranges can also be manufactured to meet specific application requirements.
