Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Round float balls in standard diameters between 1½″ and 14″. Oblong floats in a number of standard configurations, from 2×6″ to 9×14″. We continually add other sizes to inventory based on demand.

304 is the general-purpose stainless steel — corrosion-resistant in most water and industrial media. 316 adds molybdenum, which gives much better resistance to chlorides and acidic environments. Specify 316 for sanitary food & beverage, marine, or aggressive chemical applications; 304 is fine for most level-control work.

Yes, we tap our own threads and can routinely make them to any thread spec — just ask.

The standard finish is the matte stainless steel material finish, with a slightly raised weld seam. If the seam is an issue we can brush it out, or we can brush finish the complete part. A mirror finish is more typical for sanitary or decorative applications and we can offer that on request. The smaller balls are typically made with the mirror finish as a standard stocked item.

Yes, we have pressure testing equipment and can test them as required.
