Float Ball Level Gauges — Tank Level Indicators

Float level is measured by attaching the float to a rod, cable, or through tube connected to a measurement device. As the liquid level changes, the float rises or falls, transmitting its position mechanically or magnetically. Stainless steel floats can be fitted with custom threads, hooks, or magnets to interface precisely with your chosen measurement system.

A float gauge works by placing a buoyant float on the liquid surface inside a tank. The float's vertical position directly corresponds to the liquid level. When paired with magnetic integration or mechanical linkages, movement of the float triggers level readings or activates control systems such as pumps, valves, or alarms, providing continuous and reliable level monitoring.

Our float balls are manufactured from 304 stainless steel, the most common grade, and 316 stainless steel for more corrosive environments. Both grades offer excellent corrosion resistance and durability. Other materials are available upon request to meet specific application or regulatory requirements for food processing, chemical, or wastewater applications.

Yes. All float balls can be customized with virtually any thread specification, including 1/4-20, 3/8-16, 1/4 NPT, 3/8 NPT, 1/2 NPT, 5/8-11 UNC, and 3/4 NPT. Through tubes compatible with 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" rods are also available. Custom fittings and magnet integration can be added to match exact system requirements.
