A fuel float is a sealed, buoyant component — typically spherical or oblong — that rides on the surface of a liquid inside a tank. Connected to a sender unit or valve, it translates liquid level changes into mechanical or electrical signals. Stainless steel fuel floats are preferred for their corrosion resistance, durability, and suitability for harsh industrial conditions.

Our fuel level floats are available in 304 stainless steel, which suits most industrial applications, and 316 stainless steel for environments involving corrosive or aggressive liquids. Yes. All stainless steel floats can be pressure-tested to meet your custom system specifications. This makes them suitable for high-pressure industrial fuel tanks, vacuum tanks, steam traps, and other demanding environments where float integrity under pressure is critical to system safety and performance.

Three standard finishes are available: Matte (unfinished with visible weld ring), Brushed (polished smooth weld seam), and Fully Polished (mirror finish). The appropriate finish depends on your application — food processing and chemical environments often benefit from the polished finish for easier cleaning and improved corrosion resistance.
